Comfort Inn Syosset-Long Island

I was trying to make it home after work at the beginning of the 2026 blizzard. I got half way home after 2 hours and found myself in whiteout condition. I was in fear for my life and the lives of my two dogs. I pulled into the first hotel I found. This hotel was accommodating, friendly and helpful for m beginning to end! I had a lovely breakfast and was able to head home the next day after a late check out. I am so grateful to the kind people I met that day. They were wonderful!

at check in: we were assigned room 329. the heater did not work. it was not fixed after 2 attempts. we were told we would get a room heater. none came. I went to desk. was told you didn't have any. you offered to change my room the next morning. I had to ASK for a new room. we got room 302 at 11 PM. during our stay, the main water pipe broke, there was no water afternoon into evening. we could not even use the toilet or wash our hands. there was no attempt to relieve the inconvenience. we were not even offered bottled water. there was no attempt to show compassion or hospitality. the night (about 2 - 4 AM) before checkout, there was loud vocal yelling and screaming disturbance in room 303. we put up with it. we did not report it t the front desk. Stayed there last week for three nights. Hotel is right off Jericho Turnpike. Room was clean but furniture is kind of old and bed is full size not queen. Breakfast is great and on that alone you'd save about $30 if you had to go to the diner down the road. Eggs, bacon or sausage plus the usual waffles and muffins. Juice, coffee and cereal as well. Not really not any sightseeing places nearby but if you're willing to drive a little it's no big deal. Wife and I would definitely stay again.

Not sure if it was just my experience or what. The walls are super thin to start. Everyday a room or multiple rooms were being very disturbing, dogs barking, kids unattended without parents, so forth. However security will help, but the consistent disruptiveness of the guests of the hotel was enough to make me write this.

This is our 2nd stay there and primarily because they take dogs. We booked a King size room for 8 days and were put in a dark corner room with no closet. Everywhere we went there were people openly vaping - including the rooms. The breakfast was very limited, no healthy choice cereals, only sugary. Several times during the week, we considered moving to another hotel, even though we’d already paid upfront. We checked out of our hotel Friday only to find our ferry had been canceled. So, we drove back for another night for $275! You’d think they would’ve offered some sort of a discount. This time we were put into a lovely, bright spacious room with a closet.
