Comfort Inn & Suites Plainville-Foxboro

You really get what you pay for here. It was clean, but that was the only good thing about this hotel. Took some waters from the fridge in the lobby that we assumed were free - turns out they weren’t but instead of handling it in a friendly manner (because we would’ve happily paid for them had we known!) the front desk attendant told me off on the phone and then hung up on me and made sure my room wasn’t cleaned the next day. Rooms smelled like weed. Gym light kept going off on me WHILE I was running on the treadmill. Breakfast mediocre. I wouldn’t stay here ever again.

The hotel appeared recently renovated and on first glance was clean and well maintained. In the less than 12 hours that we were there, I found 3 bugs in our room. I presented evidence of the bugs to the front desk attendant and was causally informed they would let the manager know. These were not ants, common flies, etc. these bugs are Pretty gross and google identifies them in the cockroach species. I think the response could have been better and I certainly won’t knowingly choose a hotel chain that doesn’t respond to customer complaints or needs with appropriate concern.

Positive: I liked that the hotel was recently remodeled and they were still finishing some of the renovations while I was there. The room was nice and spacious, the breakfast was good, and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. Negative: The pillows were a bit too flat and could use extras. The bed was quite firm, which may suit some but not everyone. The TV couldn’t connect to the internet, so the smart features like Netflix and Hulu didn’t work.

The stay was great until it was time to check out. There was no one at the desk, I waited over 10 minutes and finally one of the breakfast workers came over. I told him I was ready to check out and he said okay. I left around 8 am. At 6:00 pm the following night, I received a call asking if I had checked out the day before! Seems like the front desk area could be more efficient in the future, room was great

This newly renovated hotel rivals most five star hotels I’ve stayed at. It is immaculate in every sense of the word and the decor is high end and timeless. The staff is welcoming and accommodating and I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for an upscale hotel experience in Plainville. There are many amenities, gorgeous common area, and free breakfast! There’s even a game room with a restored retro video arcade machine on the second floor!
