Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain

We spent the long President's Day weekend here. The room price was reasonable but everything about the hotel and experience exceeded our expectations. My husband is a snow mobiler and there is access to the trail right off the hotel property. The property itself is spacious and we had no issues with parking for our large truck and trailer. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a standard king room but it was so large and spacious. There was a sitting room area separate from the sleeping area and it appears as though the entire hotel had recently been renovated. The only downside was the center staircase as soon as you enter only goes to the second floor so you then need to use the staircases at either end of the building or of course the elevators. I have stayed before and it was better. The first room I was given I went in and the room had not been serviced from the previous stay (bed unmade, completely hadn't been touched). Second room was better, but old coffee from the previous guest was in the coffee maker and hadn't been emptied. I checked in 45 min after the minimum time to check in, so maybe the staff needs to address housekeeping a bit. The hot tub was cold and also very cloudy and odd which was disappointing. I know Comfort Inn basically has a monopoly in STJ, but a little more attention to detail would have been welcome. Overall it was fine.

We stayed one night at this Comfort Inn on our way home from a long stay in Canada. What a pleasant surprise it was. Expecting nothing more than a run-of-the-mill chain hotel, we were more than happy with everything from the friendly checkin to the updated room and the lovely grounds. We were traveling with our terrier and found the hotel to be very pet-friendly, with easy access to grass and pretty walking areas. There were even dispensers supplied with poop bags and convenient trash receptacles.|The hotel is also easily accessible from the highway. I would not hesitate to stay here again during any trip through the area.

I stay here every year and are happy to see the upgrades they do year after year, they were long over due. The room are updated and modern, new furnishings, furnature, bathrooms and super clean. Great job on the rooms and the hotel, now I do t feel like I am in the movie the shining anymore when I visit. The pool area. The pool is heated indoor and very nice, the hot tub jets were not working while I visited and there was a smell of mildew from there, most likely either due to the jets not working or the filtration not working. I am sure it will be fixed. The ceiling of the pool area needs serious painting as there are large sheets of paint hanging from the ceiling. The Comfort Inn & Suites Near Burke Mountain was one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The property was gorgeous and I loved how it was all decorated for Fall and Halloween. The room was beautiful, spacious, and well-appointed. The beds were comfortable, too. There was quite a bit of road noise from the highway, but I wear earplugs, so it wasn't too much of a problem. The breakfast was delicious and offered great variety. I also love how they had individually-wrapped cookies at check-in. That was a nice surprise! :) The staff were super friendly as well. I wish we could've stayed longer!
