Comfort Inn & Suites Midway - Tallahassee West

The price is low compared to other hotels. But you get what you pay for. There first one I was given the AC did not work, I had to ask for a room change. The overnight front desk is helpful, patience, and friendly. The morning front desk is the contrary she is not. The room are clean, but carpet floor feels dirty.

1. The toilet leaked in room 122. When the float got stuck, water came out a little hole at the base of the toilet. A rust spot was apparent. The room was flooded. We were transferred to 324. 2. The lavatory in 324 was not attached to the wall. The plumbing was holding it up. 3. Both were supposed to be handicapped equipped. Each had only one bar at the tub. Should have a horizontal bar also. Neither had a soap dish for the shower. 4. In 324, the towel rack is placed incorrectly. You can't sit down on the toilet without bumping in to it. 5. On Friday night, the main sign saying Comfort Inn was not lit up. Saturday night it was after I brought it to the desk clerk's attention. 6. Great hotel overall (8/10). Stayed 1 night in March. Nice, well sized room. Great bed. Bathroom is a good size, with good towels. Shower is great, with amazing water pressure. Everything worked as it should, and was of the standard you'd expect from a Comfort Inn. Not to harp, but the shower here was the standout feature, if it wasn't the best shower I've ever had in a hotel, it was in the top two for sure. I would definitely stay again, as for the price paid ($71 total) it was superb value.

I stayed at this hotel for a business trip for a week. The room was constantly humid and damp, so much so that my clothes felt damp when putting them on, my towel would never dry, and the carpet felt damp. The moisture was clearly a constant issue because the room smelled awful. I sleep with a CPAP and the smell lingered in it for weeks afterwards. ||Aside from that, despite the hotel clearly stating no pets allowed, one room on my floor had dogs in it that barked constantly. The front desk stated they had multiple calls about that complaint but, clearly weren't interested in removing the kicking the folks out. There was tons of hair in and around the shower, stains on the couch pillows, and grease on the back of the bathroom door which included hand prints. Fortunately the bed seemed clean so we slept the one night, but we did not feel comfortable showering there or anything else. Because of how dirty the room was we also didn't feel safe taking part in the breakfast, and thought pre-packaged food would've been fine. Unfortunately, we found after taking one bite of the granola bar that was included in our Choice Privileges welcome pack that it was 5 months expired. Upon checkout, the front desk staff never asked how our stay was so we figured they clearly wouldn't have cared about the status of the room so we just left irritated and feeling unclean.
