Comfort Inn & Suites High Point - Archdale

I've stayed here for both work in the area and personal things a few times. Overall, I've never had any issues. Rooms have always been expectedly clean along with the public areas of the hotel. Generally speaking, the breakfast has always been maintained well and well kept and stocked. No, it's not 5 star dining experience, but it's solid, hot and serves it's purpose.

This was literally the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. I was there for parents' visiting weekend. The bed was rumpled. There was urine in the toilet. There was something so disgusting on the bathroom wall that I won't even state it here (but feces were involved). When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the manager was gone (this was on a Friday afternoon) and wouldn't be back until the next day, so no one could help. I slept fully clothed, saw my kid the next day, and drove home 7 hours late that night just to avoid staying in the room again.

Several safety concerns: 1bed had exposed sharp metal that cut one of us . Person at the desk said that she had told maintenance several times to fix it without results. 2. Shower tub was too slippery. Needs friction strips 3 shower curtain rod is loose which results in water on bathroom floor.4 night table drawer will not stay shut resulting in leg bruises 4 no means of keeping bathroom door open. Child could be trapped. All in room 224.

Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Right off the main Street. Did not eat breakfast, as Biscuitville was across the street. The ice machine on our floor did not work. That was the only complaint.

When I arrived the hotels virtually empty low occupancy that night. Said hello to the front desk as I check in. No response…. Ok get to the room and it was 47 degree in the room. It took over 2.5?hrs to get it to heat up to 70 degrees. You would think you only have a few guest that they could have the heating on the rooms that have guest assigned to them….. at least have them on at 60 degrees if they are worried about the expense. At least on rooms that have reservations.
