Comfort Inn & Suites Carneys Point - Pennsville

It was clean rooms affordable, the breakfast was good. The front desk woman was so nice I forgot her name she work till 7 am. She was so accommodating to us, really nice woman, she is a people person. She has great customer service skill.

Blamed my assistant animal for keeping the $100 hold instead of giving it back. Claimed there was a "strong odor" and"excessive fur" and they had to "close the room" to clean it. The only things that were in there was normal trash. There was no extravagant mess to clean up and we didn't even use the shower. My assistant animal was calm while we there, she didn't run around or anything and I even had her bed to lay on (which she did) while we were there. The electric went out the first morning we woke up so we were freezing but they kept my money. We were there for three nights and left multiple times. Clean and decently maintained Comfort Inn. Staff is nice. One of the best in-room whirlpool tubs I’ve used. The hotel is off the beaten path and not too close to anything, but it’s a great place to stay.

Positive: The only good thing was the location for what we needed. That was it. Negative: The room smelled extremely musty upon entering and had green mold going up the door. One of the beds smelled very strongly of curry. The bathroom door did not open or close all the way. The deadbolt didn't work. GROSS.

Hotel is next to a busy highway and the roar of truck brakes is inescapable throughout the rooms. Also immediately adjacent to a large cellphone tower. Booked from the turnpike plaza and had to drive 10+ miles to an exit and 14 miles back down the turnpike, adding 30 minutes. Deterioriated interior. Wierd room decor evocative of an Asian horror film. Would not return.
