Comfort Inn Plover-Stevens Point

We stayed here last March and didn’t have any issues, but the hotel seems to have gone downhill since last year. We stayed here again this weekend. We were with our kids so we spent some time in the pool and hot tub. Both of the bathrooms in the pool area were “out of order”, which was very inconvenient with little kids. The hot tub had a big pile of dirt in both corners (pictures included) and there was ants on the pool deck (picture included) Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. However, we couldn’t use the shower because the drain was extremely slow draining. Something else that was very concerning, is that there was no lock on the back door. We had a very nice room. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were too! Our towels were replaced one day, which we were surprised. The only complaint is the scrambled eggs. Must be powdered eggs. I was happy, though, that they did have hard boiled eggs and a good supply of yogurt.

I stayed in a king suite and everything was great. This is a basic hotel with standard amenities and everything was just as I would have expected. It’s not perfect but the linen smelled freshly bleached, the bar was open which was convenient and the breakfast was eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and waffles. Coffee was good and everything was stocked.

Asked front desk - told they do not open it when capacity is under 50%. She remarked other people had asked too. Well that’s crap. We had to stay here at the last minute. Got a room right away and it was perfect! The attendant was super nice, the room spacious and clean and a great breakfast for a weekday.
