Comfort Inn North Conroe

I am a Texas native and have been chasing dreams across the country for many years. I found out 2 days ago that I am a first time grandpa so I flew in on 4 wheels to meet my new grand baby. When I was checking in, Jordan reminded me why I missed Texas by making me feel right at home as soon as I walked through the door! Great experience!

Coming from an oyo last week, the bar was low. That being said, the bar was cleared. No roaches, everything was actually clean. There is just one small thing that some people might not like, about this room. The alarm clock intermittently makes a geigercounter-like noise (radiation detector). Being a fan of Roadside Picnic and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Soviet era sci-fi with lots of radiation), I found this to be delightful ambience.

Nice hotel at a great location and a good price. The only reason for not getting a 10 was because there was difficulty at check in when processing my Choice Hotels credit card. The card was tried multiple times with different ways by the check in clerk. This wound up being a mistake as my room charge of $89.32 was posted to my credit card twice. We have filed a dispute with Wells Farrago per their claims process but it is still in processing and not yet finalized.

Staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and had a good range of choices. This is the best hotel I have stayed in while visiting family in Conroe.

Our room had water stains on the ceiling. Needs maintenance. Little bit outdated. Traffic was too loud. Breakfast was just okay. McDonald’s would have been better.
