Comfort Inn New River

This hotel is 8 minutes from New River Gorge NP Visitor Center. It is in a central location to restaurants, stores, and gas stations. My husband and I didn't try to use the pool, but it is non existent. They have even tried to disguise it on the signage. Breakfast was fine, albeit in a very small area. Both mornings we had to take ours to the lobby. The bathroom positioning was a bit odd with part of the mirror being right over the commode, so tough for two to get ready at the same time unless straddling a toilet. The reason I will never stay here again and am cancelling my Choice account is they refuse to honor the online Choice rate, not a third party rate, but their own online rate. Great hotel with great staff. My family and I use Comfort Inn every time we visit the area. If other guests get out of hand, the staff is quick to correct them. Only downside is parking can be a little tricky from time to time, but otherwise great place to stay if visiting the area.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous!! Especially the young lady Angie really deserves a special thank you for helping to make our stay accommodating. I came with my motorcycle ministry from church and we will definitely take another ride up to enjoy the New River gorge and definitely stay at your establishment again!!

Our stay was good. The hotel is being renovated and when done, it should be very nice. We enjoyed our stay. The air quality was out of their control. We had a slow draining tub. The laundry room needs attention.

Very clean room and friendly staff. Above and beyond. Chased me to my car when they’d discovered I’d left my Bluetooth speaker. Made sure there was enough coffee left for us when we woke up late. A welcome respite for some lost, weary travelers.
