Comfort Inn Near Ouabache State Park

The winter storm had forced us to settle in Bluffton for a couple of nights. The rooms were clean, and the heat worked (an appreciated feature when the windchill is negative 30). The breakfast was good. It's not a massive spread, but it's all the things I like while staying at a hotel. The star of the stay was the 2nd shift desk agent, Brittany. She was so personable. When we had no options due to weather, she didn't gouge us, but took care of us. Every customer she interacted with, it seemed like she knew for years (including us). I was in a jam with clean clothes, and she was kind enough to dry my clothes late one evening. She was also on it with cookies every night. We were happy to get the room requested. Nice and clean with lots of pillows to choose from. the only negatives were; shower water controller was hooked up so that while I was trying to cool down the water, it was making it scalding hot! I did speak to the maintenance guy about it. Suggest at least marking it with a Sharpie. Also we were given only one washcloth. Sandra in the breakfast room is delightful! Have seen her there for years working to keep the everything stocked and clean.

We’ve been staying at this hotel for years whenever we come to town to visit family for holidays and special occasions. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality and service have noticeably gone downhill, which is very disappointing. This morning at breakfast, several items ran out, and the manager had to go outside to get the cook, who was smoking. She returned inside to restock the buffet smelling strongly of cigarettes. This was extremely unpleasant, especially with children present. I sincerely hope proper handwashing occurred, but it did not appear so, as she immediately brought out a pot of gravy. Additionally, in the room we stayed in, it sounds like something is building a nest inside the bathroom fan/light, which is concerning and should definitely be checked. This hotel used

From the moment we walked in the staff was friendly and courteous. |Our room was very spacious and super clean and the beds were overstuffed and warm! I cranked up the air conditioner and stayed warm under the covers and over slept! |The fitness center was loaded with everything I needed for a complete workout and I took a swim in the pool. The pool was clean and warm and they provided pleanty of towels. |In the morning I had eggs, toast and a homemade waffle for breakfast they also had cereal, oatmeal bagels, omlets muffins and loads of other things to eat.|The location was great being right near the highway and there was pleanty of easy shopping near by. I will definitely stay here again!

We had a home emergency to put us out of our house, my first phone call was comfort Inn and they accommodated us through the entire process, even though we had to switch rooms a few times. Staff was great. The breakfast was wonderful as long as they had rented enough rooms the night before.
