Comfort Inn Lexington South

My stay at the Comfort Inn was good enough: I had a comfortable bed and a hot breakfast, and the staff was friendly and helpful. But the hotel seemed stretched thin for resources. The first room I was assigned hadn't been cleaned, and the fitness center's modest equipment was not all functional. If you are on a budget or don't care about anything more than the basics, it will do, but if you are planning a special occasion I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Staff was friendly enough and the bed was extremely comfy. Breakfast isn’t bad and has lots of options. With that being said, my biggest issue was cleanliness. There was a lot of hair on the shower walls that you can’t see until you’re up close since the tile in the shower is tan/brown. The curtains wouldn’t close all the way and the door has issues latching without a little help. Lastly, there is no fan in the bathroom. I just feel they aren’t thoroughly cleaning the rooms between each guests. Maybe just doing a quick clean like making the beds and only replacing towels that are used. Also they could stand to update things like the curtains and to repair the door latches. Also the tv was hard to figure out initially.

Positive: Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Negative: Location. Very hard to find after dark. TV was hard to figure out how to work.

At one point I thought that the hotel was being remodeled but this last time it had bugs crawling on the walls and had an old smell especially on the third floor. We were moved to second floor and it still had the bugs but the bathroom shower was peeling and was black which possibly could have been mold. So unfortunately I don’t think me and my family will use this hotel again.

Usually like this hotel. They have a good breakfast. But the comforter in our room had urine stains. We didn't realize it til the 2nd night when we removed the the foot cover. Also the toilet seat was cracked, causing butt pinching. Lol
