Comfort Inn Griswold

Very clean and comfortable. The hot tub and pool amenities where great and available. The room are very nice and equipped with refrigerators and microwave. The staff was very attentive and professional. We enjoy the ability to eat breakfast on site and the shuttle transportation was available and reliable. The driver cared about safety for all. She picked us up from Foxwoods during a snow storm. she was extremely careful and keep us calm while she was driving. The stay was awesome.

When we went to check in the front desk clerk said there was no record of our reservation. I had it made it 50 minutes prior. So he looked further and said I had accidentally made a reservation for next Thursday (not that day which was also a Thursday). It took about an hour to resolve this issue as we had to call Booking.com to change the date to the current date to avoid double charges. The desk clerk said his name was Josh and he was very helpful and patient. He told us to have a seat and relax while he dealt with it. Finally we got the keys to our room and could breathe a sigh of relief! Nice Comfort Inn. Had a beautiful floor to ceiling rock fireplace in lobby and I liked having a stairway where you could walk down to the lobby without needing to take an elevator. The breakfast option

This was a great option for our daughter’s cheer competition at Foxwoods. We wanted something close by and reasonably priced, and this hotel checked all the boxes. The rooms were clean, breakfast was better than expected, and having the pool and hot tub open until midnight was a huge bonus after long days. I initially booked through a third-party site and later added a night directly with the hotel due to bad weather coming in, which led to some confusion at check-in. Debbie, the manager, was very helpful and made sure everything was sorted out and that we were happy in the end. Overall, a really positive stay, and a good reminder that booking directly is usually the easiest option.

We had a great stay. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was decent. The front desk help was nice. Only observations the carpets albeit newer needed vacuuming, both in the hallways, public stairway and room. I would stay here again. 19 minutes from the Mohegan Sun convention center. It all worked out.

We had a 2 night stay. Checked in and our room was dirty. We asked to be moved to a clean room and they said they couldn't because we booked through Expedia. What?!! We asked again, this time we weren't as nice. The front desk person, Debbie (sp?), called the District Manager for approval. Of course this means moving us could have been accomplished without all the bad feelings and awlful customer service that occurred. Second room was cleaner, not clean. The bed was uncomfortable and the fireplace didn't work. Breakfast was not good...eggs were powdery and I think the sausages were meat but not sure. Bagels, breads and cereals were fine. Heated pool and hot tub did not work. We also noticed that there were "residents" at the hotel. Wonder if some of the rooms were Section 8 occupied.
