Comfort Inn College Park North

Saw they had a fitness center and decided to book here instead of taking Uber to a gym. Fitness center is locked. When staff went to open it, another employee said "there's a leak". We'll that's great. I wish I had that info BEFORE I chugged my preworkout. Now, to grab an Uber for $20 each way to Planet Fitness. I'll be sending that to management and corporate for reimbursement.

If staying in the area again I would consider staying here again. The staff was friendly and the hotel had a spacious feel. However, it's the small yet important things that will keep me away: 1. My room (#454) room was dated and worn. 1. Small frays and tears in the wallpaper and dirty, worn carpets were noticeable throughout. The bathrooms had the look of being patched up rather than maintained properly. For example, the tub drain had excessive caulk and the tub stopper did not work properly. 2. The electric hair dryer, hanging on the wall, did not work at all. Why was it even there since there was no permanent installation involved? 3. The TV was intermittent in allowing stations to come on. If the station did appear, any audio was a gamble. At least half had no audio. The station

Positive: The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The access to the field for dog walking was very convenient. Negative: The microwave did not work and although a ticket was created the first evening, it was not fixed or replaced during our 3 day stay. There were not towel bars so nowhere to hang wet towels, and no towel service for 3 days.

I was not happy with the room that they have provided. The hallway was really dirty and outdated. Key card kept failing and I had to come to the lobby to get my key card redone. Exit doors didn't work properly. Breakfast was not good either. The owner was supposed to call me regarding my missing items in the lobby that was stolen but no one has reached to me even I called the hotel multiple times. Poor Management.

My rooms have always been about the same: clean, with towels & washcloths with a comfortable fabric. The room uses many good materials, but many little things can either need minor repairs or were repaired, but not top quality work. Overall the room is decent. See my video. Within walking distance (across a parking lot) there is are grocery & drug stores, Wendy's and Taco Bell. If you need everything perfect, this is not the place for you. If you don’t mind a few minor issues (I've never had major issues at this hotel), and you want to save some money. This is worth considering.
