Comfort Inn Carmel By the Sea

Gita, the manager was great from the minute I made the reservation. I wanted to make sure I was upstairs, and she was very accommodating. This place is perfect! Its in a great location, walking distance from restaurants and shops, has electrical outlets anywhere you may need one, the lighting was fun and plentiful, fresh towels every day, quick bite breakfast was easy, and I slept like a baby in the huge King bed. I am looking forward to going back next year, early September, to hit the golf courses again with my friend, and enjoy the comfort at this Comfort Inn. :-) Thank you, Gita!

We stayed for a night at this hotel driving about 6-7 hrs. The. Worst thing i have ever seen is the door of our room. Its not a single door but 2 pieces of wood attached. We heard sound continuously because there is a gap between those 2 piece door due to wind. Light was peeping through the gap. We called the staff and asked for a room change. She was so rude saying she cant help and this is very common. Writing this review from the room on 10 feb 2026 night. Please check who the staff was. She is telling us to vacate if we want at 11pm and she can refund. This is the 1st time we had such a bad experience. Please check before you book. We stayed room # 65. It was horrible. We were hearing water flowing sound, furniture moving sound, things rolling sound as there were 2 storage rooms on eit

First of all I liked my very comfortable and well-equipped room and the clean attached bathroom. Then, I liked the lovely natural setting surrounding Comfort Inn. Last but not least, I liked the hearty breakfast that was part of the deal. Also, I liked the location of the hotel. It was within walking distance of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea. The manager, Mrs. Gita Patel, was very helpful and always available whenever I needed her assistance. In conclusion, I am very much satisfied with Comfort Inn at Carmel-by-the Sea.

Great overall experience! We got lucky to have booked the last room at the last minute. It is in a very good location right on the main touristic shopping area on Ocean Ave. It is more on the east side of the touristic area and about a 15 minute walk to the beach but still in a great location. The rooms were very clean and modern. The area is very quiet at night with very minimal noise- just the shower from the neighbor, but nothing too bad. The general manager was great- very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included. Even though there wasn't a lot of variety compared to other places I've stayed at, it still had the basics- eggs, sausage, waffle maker, coffee/tea machine, oatmeal, yogurt, apples, bananas, bagels, bread, cream cheese, and water. The rooms are well-appointed, clean with a super comfortable bed. The breakfast is standard comfort Inn fare and unfortunately only opens at 8:00 so ... not great for early risers. The only thing I wish they had was a fire pit in the outdoor seating area.
