Comfort Inn Bloomington near University

I was disappointed with the room (812) which is not only dated, but dangerous. I can send you pictures of the significant mold growing in the shower. When I showed others the pictures they were appalled. The tub is lumpy and dangerous as it needs to be replaced. The room was dusty and did not look as if it had been cleaned in weeks. The grime and dust on the lamp was significant. I can also send you pictures that I have shared with friends. Lastly, I asked for an extra hour for a late checkout 2 days prior to leaving and was rejected. I could not wait to leave and would not recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone. Please feel free to reach out to me and I will share my bad experience. Honestly, I travel quite a bit, and this was one of the worse motels that I ever visited.

Three lamps in the room did not work. Was told they were aware of it but wouldn't be fixed until the next day. Cable was out for every television in the place and might be fixed the next day. The phone was not working. No one seemed to be interested in addressing the problems. We immediately checked out and said if we were charged for our two day reservation we would not pay. We had stayed there before and it wasn't great but thought we'd give it another chance. Never again! Avoid this place at all costs!

I booked two rooms and neither one of them were good. One had a prescription pill laying in the middle of the floor, hair all over the bathroom and unwashed bedsheets. The other room was only slightly cleaner and had paint peeling off the walls. The whole building smelled like pot and was very unclean. I have stayed at a lot of comfort inns and this the only time I’ve had a bad experience. I will say customer service is amazing and I was refunded for my problems. I would not recommend staying here though.

While on the surface the hotel seemed very clean, the air system had a heavy mold/mildew smell. My asthma flared up considerably. Staff was very nice and the lobby and breakfast was also good. But due to health reasons I cannot recommend this location.

Unfortunately, my stay did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, I found that the room had not been properly cleaned. There were visible signs of insect activity, including ants on the table and several bugs in the room. Additionally, the bedside light fixture was dusty and sticky, suggesting it had not been recently cleaned. I hope management will take steps to address these concerns to improve the guest experience moving forward.
