Columbus Motel

This place is an absolute dump! My room was dirty, the sheets were not clean, they had hair all over them from whoever stayed in the room before me. The photos they share online are totally deceiving. The entire place is dirty, it looks dirty and it smells dirty. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting, in my photos you can see there is mold on the ceiling and the corners of the bathroom look like they haven’t been cleaned in years. You couldn’t pay me to stay at the place again. No breakfast, the pictures you see online of the lobby are fake, shoot there isn’t even a restroom in the lobby. The place looks nothing like this. Under new management. Stayed here for RAGBRAI. No towels in Room, no soap, toilet was not clean, walls not all painted. But, good shower, the AC worked well. After a 70 mile ride - still better than a hot damp tent on the ground. Hopefully they will continue to do well. I wish them all the best. I will say that their coffee was the best of the 4 hotels I stayed in that week. Keep it strong!

Stayed at the motel a couple days ago it’s in a nice area has a dollar general and family dollar right in front of it. The service is amazing the people are friendly and helpful. The motel is a bit old so the rooms are outdated but still clean

I was traveling for work and stayed here for 4 weeks and I was taken aback by the hospitality of this place. The rooms are as good as new, entire place is clean with no litter around, front desk has a nice fragrance with a friendly receptionist welcoming you with a smile. They sell snacks at front desk and also offer coffee and the owner is always ready to help you regardless how occupied he is. It’s a quaint little place with every amenity .

The rooms weren't finished during our stay. I believe management was in the middle of constant renovations. There was more puddy visible in the room than in Rita Repulsa's tower. Door was also a little sketch. I tested it a bunch though, nobody was getting in. I'll give it a few years and see how it turns out. Let me tell you though, the rooms were very clean and the front desk was VERY accommodating.
