Colts Neck Inn Hotel

Modest and cozy little hotel. Rooms are clean and all the necessities as expected are provided. However, there is no carpeting in the rooms so rooms on the first floor, beware, as folks walking in the room above can be quite noisy. However, I am assuming since they allow dogs in this hotel, no carpeting allows for better cleanliness. The scent of the product they use to clean is too strong and actually still smelled it on my clothes once I left the hotel. Modest breakfast provided. Good deal for the money.

We had a really nice experience with the staff at this hotel. We interacted with many different folks at the front desk over the course of our stay (including the overnight staff) due to our, er, "special" dog who apparently had an aversion to the hotel elevator. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. The lobby is decorated beautifully for the holidays and the whole place was incredibly homey, with books and little treats offered throughout the corridors. The room was clean and fresh, the heat worked great, and the shower water pressure was top notch. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, especially for the extremely reasonable room rate. Positive: The extra amenities like the cookie jars and candy dishes, inexpensive vending machines, daily room cleaning, friendliness of the staff, the vibes and atmosphere are welcoming. Feels like a BnB with all of the little details that are offered. Negative: Rooms that have an adjoining door to the next suite are lacking sound abatement material. You can hear everything your neighbor says or does and they can hear everything you say or do if you happen to get a room with an adjoining door.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel on New Year’s Eve and had a very pleasant experience. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays with an amazingly tall Christmas tree. Our room was clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again.

Just stayed for an overnight and was a nice quiet atmosphere. When we checked out there was a surprise at the counter in 2 birds that greet you and open mints from the wrapping and eat them. Pretty cool! Breakfast was included and the hotel was very clean.
