Colony Motel

Went for raft off, met the owners upon arrival and instantly became friends with them & all the other guests. This place was so cool! Location could not have been more perfect, right on the water and very close to all stores and launch. Our room was immaculate and even had snacks, fresh linens and toiletries provided. Their rates were insanely great and they provided bonfires and cookouts both nights we were there. We’ll be back and I highly recommend it to everyone !

This was my second stay at the Colony Motel, two years ago my fishing bud and myself stayed two nights when we were fishing for sturgeon in the St. Clair River, that went well, not sure why I did not leave a rating for the motel then. So this time I stayed one night before going out to Harson's Island, the Colony Motel is a short distance from the ferry. I hadn't realized that this place is geared towards longer stays but I was accommodated for the night and enjoyed my stay. I don't usually just sit and relax but I sat in the back yard by the river (North Channel of the St. Clair River), read a couple magazines and thoroughly enjoyed watching the various boats go by. This was in the middle of the week so there were very few people in the immediate area and it was very enjoyable. Very much

I felt right at home in our room. It has a small town feel right on the water. Exactly what I was looking for.

Booked at short notice, on arrival the hostess said she had upgraded our room, as she liked my accent. We were so pleased as the room had an amazing view out over the river. Stunning and so peaceful. Comfortable and equipped with mini kitchen area. Thank you. Would definitely stay again when visiting this area.

This is a great place to stay if you are in the area. Debbie always takes care of our fishing group. Room to park the bass boats.
