Great for yourself or couple , price is friendly, clean , local , comes with space to put your belongings.

My favorite cottage I’ve ever stayed. Could not express my love for this tiny town after such a pleasant stay at a pleasant place. Im more than most definitely going to stay at the colonial courts every time I roll through from now on.

I stayed here during covid. They are cozy small rooms that feel sorta like i was at my grandma "mamaw" (i miss her) . Also a feeling of protection just like mamaws. The ole lady who owns them is a total sweetheart who makes delicious cookies. One night at 11pm, i was craving a soda pop before bedtime. Google maps showed a soda machine just beyond a lil bit into battlefield park. Well it wasn't there so i vemtured into the park more thinking that might have been moved and what I seen scared the living daylight side of me and it screamed so loud it echoed the only thing I heard was run in my head and I turn around and sprint back and across the street back in to my room, say a prayer I could hear this thing all night long outside the cottages. Stay here if your looking for a cozy quiet get

If you need a place to stay during a visit in this area, Colonial Motel does fine. I wouldn't recommend it for the average highway traveler unless budget is your main consideration. ||||Our room was clean and functional, as was the bathroom. The beds are full size, not queen, and the mattress isn't fancy but also not worn out. Our heater kept the place toasty but didn't allow for fine adjustments to temperature. The bathroom was small and didn't have a fan or window to air it out, but the toilet, sink and shower worked well and the water temperature in the shower stayed consistent even if someone else used water and caused the pressure to fluctuate. There is a microwave, mini-fridge and an older model color TV. There is no wi-fi and no coffee maker.||||At a higher price my rating would be

This place isn't updated but it's cheap and clean. Locally owned and operated by a real nice older couple. On its property they have RV hookups so we can stay close to our family that drives a class-a. I would recommend staying here if you're on a budget and don't need fancy.
