Coloma Resort

Great place to stay right where the California historical gold rush started. Some of the RV and tent sites are right on the river. Tent sites are spacious and there are small cabins for those that want that type of convenience. Clean grounds and courteous staff. This is also a wedding and event venue. We stayed over for New Year's and we had our same spot as previous years. Year round enjoyment.

Never having stayed here before, I was worried with the very different reviews. We stayed on the river in site 71. We have a 20 ft travel trailer and it fit fine in the space. With a fully packed campground, I think the spaces would’ve been way more squishy. |Being November, the park was more empty and was partially closed because of an educational program. The view and the river were spectacular. It rained but wasn’t too bad and the big grassy area near the river spots was a nice, scenic place to walk dogs.|The staff person upon arrival was friendly and the resort was super clean and quiet. We didn’t have any issues with anyone while we were there. |I loved it. I loved Coloma as well and after a recommendation we loved going to the brewery in a nearby town called COOL. I have been going here for years. I go with family and I go alone. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Campground and restrooms are always clean. I love the history that surrounds this location and in walking distance. This is my favorite campground.

What an awesome family oriented camp site, the cabin are all very clean and the staff is super helpful. If you happen to be looking for a puppy the camp host has some Frenchies she is selling they are all paper and oh my gosh so so precious.

We’ve made this the annual trip for my wife’s birthday at the end of March. It’s a nice weekend away, when we have nothing to do, no other obligations. There is a bunch of history in the area including the gold rush and a couple short hikes. Weather in Spring can be unpredictable, and the river is moving very fast. Watch your kids. The park is clean, well maintained and staff is friendly.
