Best place to stay. Ms. Kim the owner made me feel like I was home. She is the sweetest person I have ever met. The rooms are very clean and cozy. Hoping to go back soon to New York and if I do I know where I will be staying. Personally it was better then being in a hotel. Very quiet place.
I enjoyed my stay here a lot. The room itself is very clean and cozy. I do feel like I was staying in a friend's. The environment is also nice. Nice and safe little town and nice tenants. Conveniently located close to many gorgeous NY State Parks. ||||The Inn owner Kim is so considerate! The two beds and the pillows in the room are in different firmness, so I can choose whichever I like! When she tried to answer one of my questions, she texted me instead of calling me because she know I was driving and really cared about my safety. She knows a lot about the nice places around the area. ||||I would definitely stay in the Inn again if I go to Finger Lakes region in the future.
We stayed here last summer for a week and again this summer for a week. Kim is a great host and helps with anything you need. It's a small quiet town. We enjoyed hanging out in the evenings in the gazebo and grilling out on the dual propane/charcoal grill that is provided. The grocery store down the street is our go to place for sandwiches and other to go lunches. They make the best homemade sausages. The kids walked to the ice cream stand every evening. It's a great jump off point for state parks and the surrounding museums and then come back for a relaxing evening outdoors. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with refrigerators and microwaves. Daily cleaning and towel changes are a plus. It's hard to find this kind of atmosphere now a days. We will definitely return!
I am back for my annual family visit from California. I have returned year after year to Cohocton Valley Inn. The owner, Kim, has become someone I look forward to seeing. Watching her son grow is great too. He is a nice young boy and helps me feel at at ease. I enjoy the outdoor kitties. This is my home away from home.||Each visit, Kim has kept my room spotless, very comfortable and we'll stocked. She comes by and checks on me but is always on the go keeping the place up. As a woman traveling alone, this is the place I feel most safe. We are in a tiny town with a small grocery store in walking distance. There is a gas grill to cook on. The basketball court is fun for a bit of exercise and Loon Lake is just 3 miles away.||I visit Hornell while I'm here and there are plenty of places to sta
I thought I already wrote a review, but apparently not. If you need a room with a skyline view, pool, concierge, etc., etc., then don't stay here. If you want a clean, quiet, very affordable, cozy room and a really nice owner then this is the place. Loved the rustic print flannel sheets on a bed made up like a real bed. Northside Rest. just up the road. Good food good price. I'm sure we'll be back.
