Cody Legacy Inn & Suites

Positive: The only thing good about this hotel is the bed was comfortable. Negative: I have NO IDEA how this hotel has a favorable rating! The woman at the front desk was absolutely RUDE! The "bathrooms" in this MOTEL are terrible. The furniture was horrible!

The room was nice and clean, however I book hotels with fitness facilities in mind since I like to work out when traveling. The fitness room was dirty with a layer of dust on both pieces of broken cardio equipment (no additional cardio equipment available...just the broken ones).

Positive: It was clean. The sink was outside of the bathroom. Room was a good size. Negative: The lobby closes during the night hours. No breakfast. Hotel & room needs updates. There was a laundry, but 1 washer was broken and 1 dryer did not completely dry clothes - coins only. Was expecting better based on reviews that I'd read.

The room looked very nice with the wood accents, table etc. It was also very spacious for this King size bed. Bathroom was clean and towels were nice. I am giving it a 1 star because of the 20 year old matress! They tried to just add a topper to it, but that was no help. It creaked evertime you got in it because the coils were so bad. It really needs to be replaced. When I told the front desk his response was that he had no idea who the owners were and they they can charge $300 a night in prime season. For $300 a night (we paid $170 in Sept 2025), they can afford a new mattresses!! All we want is clean room with nice mattress.

Ended up stuck in Cody with car trouble on the way to Yellowstone. Prices are reasonable considering we had no reservations. Rooms were clean. Staff was very kind and friendly. A great hotel in an emergency.
