Cobscook Bay Cottages

Friends recommended Cobscook Bay Cottages to us and we are in their debt. What a find! The setting is gorgeous: miles of walking trails along 2 miles of coastline. We made last minute reservations and stayed in the smallest cottage, The Coop. It was spotlessly clean and had comfortable and appealing furniture. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, oven and all the dishes and tools to make the stay comfortable. In the evenings we walked along the shoreline and had wine and watched the sunset from the Adirondack chairs strategically placed for the best views. This place is magical, and we will most certainly be back.

My husband and I stayed at Cobscook Bay Cottages for four nights in July 2017, in Seawall cottage. This is a perfect spot for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. The property is magnificent-- imagine 2 miles of coastline and only 5 cottages! The property is beautifully maintained with walking trails around the property with perfectly situated benches and chairs to see the beautiful views. The owners, Dick and Linda, pay attention to detail in all aspects of the operation. The cottage was well appointed with everything we needed-- so cute and comfy. ||I highly recommend this property for people who want to spend time on the ocean, kayak, hike, relax, read, and just enjoy nature. Perfect!

My husband and I stayed in Seawall cabin, just steps from the cove. We were quite comfortable and actually enjoyed the lack of electricity. The cabin had everything we needed and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to stay. The hosts, Dick and Linda, are fantastic and very accommodating. There are several trails right on the property and they have canoes for each cabin so you can explore the cove. The location is perfect for stargazing and seeing the local sights.

We came here for a week during a tour of Maine for our honeymoon. The place is secluded, but not isolated - we were able to go grocery shopping and see some sights without spending a whole day in the car. The cabins are bright and sunny, clean, and well equipped. There were bicycles and kayaks for us to use, which was great fun. Good hiking nearby and whale watching tours for those interested in that as well. ||||Dick and Linda are warm and wonderful hosts. We left feeling very well cared for. They have extensive knowledge of the area (things to do and see & places to go). We would love to return!

My husband and I live in Maine. We love to be tourists in our home State. We especially love the Washington County/DownEast area, and found Cosbcook Bay Cottages online. Maine is incredibly beautiful pretty much everywhere you look, but the Cobscook Bay Cottages and property at Birch Point, are truly heaven on Earth! We returned home today from our vacation and are already booking our next stay! The 200 acre former salt water farm has been in Dick & Linda Norton's family for generations and their love and care for their home is evident in every detail. Loved every minute!
