Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Holdrege

After a string of mediocre hotels on this trip...we were both very happy at the quality and lay out of simple things that make the stay better..like 2 switches in the bathroom. One for fan and one for light...so at night you dont have to wake up your spouse with a noisey fan and can Crack the door and moderate the light by the front door to make coffee in the morning before my queen wakes up from a bright light like the last scrappy hotel we stayed in the night before...place looked new...pet friendly...simple.things like the correct tv remote that works..not a universal with dead batteries...were only there for 10 to 12 hours so little things make a big difference in quality of sleep on a cross country trip..it was way nicer hotel for being in a small town a couple blocks off the highway

We enjoyed our stay the only thing that we didn't like was we requested room to be cleaned and it was only cleaned 1 time out of the stay we had from Thurs to sunday. Also the breakfast was wonderful except for the waffle makers were on for use but no batter and another guest had chunky milk. I went to tell the staff at the desk and no one was ever there.

Light control was good. Noise level also good. Shower water hot, plumbing worked. Bed sheets did not fit but mattress was decent. And in-room refrigerator did not shake, hum, rattle and otherwise be annoying! Extra points for that. Breakfast was weak, all carbs and tasteless protein but that is normal. Coffee much better than expected. Overall a well managed and maintained rebranded mid-tier chain hotel.

Positive: We had a quiet room. Negative: The bathroom had no bar soap or lotion. The worst thing is that I'm having to hassle with being charged on my credit card for incidentals, which I did not purchase, and also that there's a $2 automatic charge for the safe deposit box, which I did not use.

Rooms and breakfast were good. The only ice machine is on the bottom floor & even though I scheduled for room service as their sign stated to… I came back from being gone all day to my room not being done. I had to use the same towels from the day before and had the same dirty sheets still. I called the front desk again annd was told sorry the house keeping was gone already. I also needed the tv fixed for the kids to watch and the lady huffed and puffed about having to help me fix it. And to top it off… I had a charge of $99 on my card from the hotel at 3 am and they couldn’t tell me what it was for. I won’t be back.
