Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Clarinda

The room was really nice and clean. The ved was really comfortable. Great water pressure and hot water for showers. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were a great convenience. The women at the front were really courteous. The entire hotel was very clean and modern. Pleasant smell throughout. The only negative was there is no soap at the sink. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

The Bad: I let the sink water run over 10 minutes and still no hot water. I was able to get hot water from the tub faucet. Could not get the tub drain to close, so couldn't take a bath. Both chairs were pretty low to try to put makeup on at the sink mirror (which was the only mirror available). Had ice in the lobby but no water there, so had to get tap water from room which needless to say didn't taste good. Hotel is next door to the hospital which could mean sirens through the night. Fortunately there weren't any on the night that I stayed. ||The Good: Bed and pillows very comfortable. Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was extremely helpful and nice. Seattle's Coffee available in the room and it was really good. Ate yougart, banana, donut and orange juice for breakfast and

Positive: "" Negative: The beds were too high for an elderly/handicap person. They had a step stool but those are also hard for an elderly/handicap person to use. The handicap room was the same. We left early because the room was not accessible and no refund.

The room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here There were two small annoyances, however The breakfast bar had several wonderful choices for bread, but there was not a shred of butter to be found! Odd. Also, the volume on the TV would only go up to a whisper I’m not hard of hearing, but had to strain to hear! Also odd.

Very overpriced room at $146 for a basic hotel. There is no soap for the bathroom sinks in the rooms. They stopped the breakfast an hour before it was posted. Our keys stopped working and it was hard to find someone to help get into our room. The man who worked in the afternoon was good, but the woman working in the morning needs a day off and was not helpful. This place needs some management help and a much lower price for what it is. The one positive is the beds are comfortable.
