Coastal Sunset

The location was great, we could walk to the beach. They said there were rentals on the beach, but everything was sold out and was very expensive. $25/chair. We had a family of 5 staying in the apartment and they were willing to roll in an extra bed, but when we asked for towels were given a hard time. The rooms were clean, but the neighborhood felt more lower income. We had to cover the bathroom window since the blinds did not. The 3rd day we asked for a room clean and they would not clean it. There was nothing in the kitchen to use for utensils or cookware. This was not air bnb, but it was also not hotel. It was basically a room to sleep in. Place was disgusting. Shower had mold. The towels were old. Loud window units and no central air. Windows are old and you can hear everything outside. The outside doors look unsafe. They don't refund so unfortunately I had to stay 1 night. I left before check out and I did not sleep. Waste of money beware

The service is not that good. Needs to improve.

Overall really good. The downside of being across the street. But not busy early morning and later evening. Good for a budget stay near the beach, breakfast was okay, good to get you going but if don't expect a huge endless buffet, but a basic toast and eggs and spreads. Would stay again. And recommend Hollywood hotels as a whole. Book directly if you can, and not thru third party.
