Customer Reviews
Extremely fair prices. The room was clean, shower was good, fridge/microwave worked, matresses were decent, and the couple that run the inn were both lovely to talk with at the check in desk. Stayed 3 nights and the room was made up for us between days with fresh towels, sheets, and restocked soaps/cups. Can't ask for much more!
We went down to see family and this is the place to stay. The lady at check in was super sweet and very kind. The room was clean and cozy, the AC worked a little too good, almost froze ourselves out haha! We will defiantly be staying again especially for the price, I was anticipating an arm and a leg due to the holiday weekend, when she said $160 for our whole 3 day/2 night stay, I had to ask if she was joking.
Room 110 a smoking room. About 4am was woken up to a small dog running around my room chasing a ball. I could feel the ball bouncing off me and back onto the floor like it was being tossed. One of the times the ball stayed on the bed so the dog jumped up and I was able to give it a pet before it jumped down. Very confused I managed to get up stumbled to a light switch hearing the jingling of its collar the light came on and complete silence. There was no dog no ball nothing. I left a piece of chicken on the floor just in case and went back to sleep. I don't believe in ghosts. 10/10 would stay again.
I had to live at the coal river inn for a year due to some unfortunate circumstances and it the worst ever. The roof came flooding in twice while I was there, there were bed bugs, and black mold on the walls. The service was lacking some times and the staff would gossip to me about other people staying there. I find the old man who owns the motel very creepy and always in other people's business. Our door would be barely crack open and he would just let himself in. It's cheap so we stayed but I would get constantly sick from being in the room.
Very nice motel. Not 5 stars but it's not 300 a night either. Rooms are always clean. Towels and bed sheets have always been clean. Good location for me as I go to ride HMT trails. I have stayed multiple times now and I have always been satisfied.
