Step back in time! Feel and experience the 1800's. It was great to sleep in bed . I am glad the beds had an extra quilt during our Sept stay I put it over my sleeping bag. Slept very well after the airplanes traffic slowed down. Bathroom was close by and they provided fire wood and nice place to store our bicycles. Thank you!!!

Gives exactly what is advertised. It is a unique experience that tells the story of the canal and the lives that it changed. Lockhouse 25 is without running water and electricity, so you get to really experience what it was like back then. At night it is a little bit like camping because there are not really pillows (bring your own) and little blankets. The house is big enough to house 8. Overall cool experience. (One more bedroom not filmed)

Beautiful spot, very quiet and serene. Lots of walking trials along the canal, a few benches to sit and plenty of wildlife. Dodnt know you could pay to spend the night in the lockhouse, would be interesting.

Edwards Ferry (lockhouse 25) run by the C&O canal trust is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. The canal beside it offers easy long distance biking and there is easy access to the Potomac River. It is well worth the visit.

Such a cool adventure if you are lucky enough to reserve one Great rest stop place along the canal Perfect for small group / family as a rest stop when biking the journey No electricity Beds/no linen Very bare bones Place to build a fire and cook Picnic benches A step up from actual camping but you are "roughing" it Strongly recommend
