this review is about Wyndham sales meetings, and representative…. We absolutely love Smugglers’ Notch and have been coming here for 15 years. We are RCI members, and Smugglers’ Notch is our home resort. It truly feels like a second home, and the resort itself is the reason we continue to return year after year. When we originally signed up years ago, the sales team was professional, patient, and respectful. They understood that this was a large financial commitment and gave us the entire week of our vacation to think it over before deciding. That experience made us feel comfortable and confident in committing. Unfortunately, the sales/upgrade meetings now are a very different experience. Every year at check-in, there is pressure to sign up for a meeting, with assurances that it’s “only
Smuggler's Notch is wonderful. I've come here a few times in both winter and summer, and my kids love it. Unfortunately, the Wyndham sales team, especially Jeremy, wastes your time and pressures people into making large financial decisions without even allowing them to sleep on it. And then become aloof and hostile when you decline and try to force an urgency that doesn't really exist through "exploding" offers that must be signed on the spot. I've been an owner with Wyndham since it was Fairfield over 20 years ago, and I have normally pushed through "updates" in the past because they've always tried to push a hard sale, but I actually spent some time with the team today because I was actually in the market to add some points to my account. I guess I learned from that mistake. I'm more
We booked a room for a nice getaway and were sorely disappointed. We specifically asked for a first floor room as one in our group had post polio syndrome and was 80 yrs old. They gave us a room on the top floor. This was unacceptable and the front desk said they couldn’t help us. We were told that there were two queen beds in one room and a queen in the other. One room had bunk beds which we couldn’t use do to our ages and getting up at night. One had to sleep on the pull out couch which had a massive blood stain it. We were told when we arrived that it would be over three hundred dollars to use the pool. We asked about a pool when we called and no one told us that. The front desk gave us keys that weren’t activated and one in our group was trying every door in the building. This was one
Great room! Resort isn’t the best skiing but it net expectations for the conditions. The entire trip was marred by the promise of a free gift for a Timeshare presentation. We completed our presentation and never received an email regarding our gift. I contacted Tim, who said he would follow up, but never did. Then subsequent texts he simply just ignored. Avoid the timeshare presentation BS.
Older resort, setting is beautiful and convenient to get to other towns, etc. clearly a place to go from Sept to April, not a 90 degree July. Anticipated A/C and discovered only a window unit in the bedroom with no ceiling fan and a great room/kitchen with one ceiling fan and no A/C. Did find a small table fan we used 24/7 to push the A/C into the rest of the rooms. Minimal use of amenities, our small pool was gritty, difficult to get to and lounges were uncomfortable. The kid pools seemed to be very popular. No charging stations, whole unit needs updating.
