If you are visiting Clifton or Morenci and want a stay that feels authentic and historic, the Clifton Hotel is the place to be. They make you feel welcome the moment you arrive. ​The Bar: This is a true local gem! It’s a fun, lively spot with great folks running it. Cute place! This place is takes you back to what the old west represents. Simplicity, but with modern conveniences. I liked that is was not the typical corporate style room.. The suite was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. Also beautiful bedding with lavender flower sheets and candy on the pillows. I loved the large, clawfoot tub and the shower was lovely. My only concern was in Suite 1, there is a step up onto the bathroom area from the bedroom. This could be a challenge if you're not paying attention. The hotel has self check in, which is easy and convenient, and assistance is just a phone call away. The bar is next to the hotel. A little bit of noise, but not annoying. A great place to stay in a beautiful, sleepy little town.

We just had a wonderful friend & family get-together to honor my late husband in Clifton. Michelle, Clifton Hotel's proprietor, couldn't have been more accommodating & welcoming. She even made enchiladas for us the first night we were there. We rented out the whole hotel (just 9 rooms) & were able to meet together in the 'lobby'--(more like a living room) any time we wanted. The old (140 years+) hotel is restored with nothing fancy but very comfortable. Everyone loved it!

Definitely a wonderful bed and comfortable room. Staff is wonderful! A stay during the week was very relaxing.||Not much to do in Clifton, itself. But was a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle and close to many scenic spots.||We visited Morenci, Safford, and Roper Lake. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and welcoming.

This was our second time renting the entire hotel for our paranormal investigation friends and Chelle was an amazing host as usual! The rooms are spacious with plenty of room to stretch out. The beds are comfy and the common area was fully stocked with hot apple cider and coffee. We truly love the Clifton Hotel and Bar!
