2025.10.22 ~16:40 after checking-in for a Campsite at Cliffs of The Neuse S.P.., i went for a hike, ~2.8 miles Loop; CG, Long Leaf Trail, and Spanish Moss Trail. The trails were in good condition; scenic views of Neuse River, and the cliffs Saw a total of ~6 people during my walk 👍😊 Btw, the Campground and its campsites were nice and quiet (not many Weekday Campers ); clean bathroom/toilets, and well-maintained. And the Rangers were professional, helpful, and friendly👍🙃
#1 ~ We were greeted by one of the best camp hosts of all time! Consider yourself lucky if you meet Molly & her dog puddles. #2 ~ By far the cleanest most versatile bath house of any campground I've stayed at. By far!!!
We enjoyed hiking all the trails. With our two dogs we were able to walk/hike all the trails and by the third day we felt like we knew the area. Hiking trails are good for small dogs and small children. The camp sites are well placed and not too close to each other. Clean restrooms! This would also be a great day trip from the coast or Raleigh area.
Upon our arrival at the park my truck would not crank we had 5 park rangers come to assist us. They tried jumping my battery cleaned posts, they helped me move my truck to a parking place took the rangers truck and pulled my camper to my site helped set up asked me if they could help me with anything else I certainly appreciate the kindness and support ❤️ 🙏 that they provided me and my wife. They came by several times to check on us, it is so nice to have people left in this world that show kindness and care.that is certainly rare thing these days. We didn't have a chance to see a lot of the park but we fully intend to return soon.again thank God for the park rangers sincerely Victor Allen Taylor
I've stayed at the tent sites several times, and it's always a treat. The sites themselves are well spaced out and well tended-to, and the bathhouse can accurately be described as palatial! We come back every year.
