Cliff River Springs

We love this place. It's quiet and serene, which is just the right speed for my husband and I. The beds are comfortable and the accommodations are well kept. There are hammocks and walking trails and a beautiful little pond. The sky is spectacular at night with very little light pollution.

Its a beautiful place to relax, hike or to sit outdoors and read. Cabins are beautiful! The owner, Hope, is a wonderful person. She even had fresh fruit and good breakfast food in the fridge waiting for us. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay!

I spent an incredible five weeks (04/01/2021 – 05/06/2021) in “Cliff Mid” casita on the Cliff River Springs property. I will start with the gracious manager, Hope, then the property, and finally the casita. My five week stay was phenomenal because of Hope Atterbury. Hope’s kindness and attentiveness pierced through me from our first email correspondence to my last day. She responded to my emails quickly (I have a feature phone without vowifi but got good reception around the upper pond, the plaza, and the parking lot). Watching hummingbirds and stars from the deck, jumping into the pond on a warm day, walking along the arroyo and riverbanks—yet, also an easy drive to both Santa Fe and Taos. The location alone is worth the stay, and all the warm, welcoming touches in the casitas make Cliff River Springs even more special. We’ll definitely be back to visit again!

Drop dead gorgeous location, fresh eggs, steel cut oats and golden raisins in the kitchen. Hiking out the front door, back door and off the deck. Need I say more? If so, please move on, nothing to see here other than heaven on earth.
