Clearwater Campground

Do not go here Anymore. We have been coming here for years before they became part of the ModernAmerica franchise. Management here was horrible. They don't care if you have been coming here for 2 years or 20 years. we travel with other couples and have had the same sites for years so we can enjoy our week together. They booked out our site a month prior to our check in. Told us too bad you can't have that site next year. The manager Katie was rude and didn't care about anything we had to say. The office hours are sparce, it is dependent on when they want to come to work and when the manager Katie does show up you are speaking to a woman with dilated pupils. They made a lot of changes here since the campground was bought out and it's been for the better, in my opinion. There are more (reasonably priced) dog friendly cabins and you don't have to book for the whole week during the busy summer season. It can be a pain driving around though so I wish there were more signs and site maps posted.

I would like a clear understanding of the booking process!||On the website you can NOT book 365 days in advance.||When we ARRIVED we asked to book for the next year, as we have been coming for many years with eight other camping families.||We were told the site we were currently booked on for 2025 was already reserved for 2026 (way more than 365 in advance)||The funny thing is the person that scheduled 2026 for the week we are was ‘Mr. Friend.’||Ironic that nothing is considered other than the all mighty dollar for corporate.||We were told they would contact Mr. Friend and they would get back to us, which also didn’t happen.||We would like to stay with our group and unfortunately the site we have been on is highly desired and if your money is green it’s yours - no camping etiquette is nee

Stayed specifically in a deluxe cabin (on wheels). Very comfortable, spacious, kitchen was stocked with utensils, plates, cups, etc. The pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable. The screened in porch was large and very nice to have to sit outside of the rain. The place itself is a bit odd when it comes to the rules. 2 free kayak and 1 free SUP rental with your stay but for 2 hours. There were more kayaks and sups that seemed available but only 1 kayak was free for us to use. There wasn't anyone working the rental booth so we had to go to the main building at the entrance of the campground to get a paddle and PFD. So weird. There was a fishing dock next to a private boat dock and the fishing dock itself needs some maintenance work as it was very rocky and unstable in some sectio

We have been at this campround for 18 years. We love our little getaway, especially in the winter! I never thought I would be up there in the winter months as much as we are. The indoor pool is open year round and the trails for snowmobiling are close by. I love taking my grandchildren to go to the beach! Our nephew and his family bought a place behind us and loved it so much they upgraded to a park model! Great place to bring the family. Quiet and clean😊
