Claytor Lake Inn

Its a mom n pops, so if u expect chain motel treatment its not for u. If u want excellent service quiet and calm gotta check em out. And they are literally 2 mi. From lake and state park, right on Interstate

So I wrote a review and the owners took it off...I will keep writing it..|Don't stay here..the roaches r so bad ...I have never seen anywhere that bad..|The owner was so mean to me for no reason..|Don't waste ur time people..u won't be happy here...

Great location. Owners and staff were helpful and friendly. Room was very clean. Would recommend staying here. An affordable quiet and comfortable place to stay. Much improved since last visit. The owners and staff are very nice and accommodating.

Nastiest place ever!!!!! We had a coupon for here they refused it saying that it was no longer used there. Coupon had a valid date. Went into room nasty sheets and bed sheets had stains that looked like they had bed bugs. Fridge was unplugged and dirtys. Bathroom was dirty. Air conditioning did not work. We showed clerk and he gave another room. This 1 was worse then the 1st!! It smelled like someone died! Opened fridge smelled rotten. Went no further and got worker again. Im immune compromised didnt dare to stay or ask for another. They did refund our stay but never offered to clean it. Ended up going somewhere 5 mins away at the super 8 in christiansburg that was much better.

Stayed here for a week and the roaches were ridiculous. We had an assortment of sizes all over the room. After leaving there I had to leave my bags out side of where I stay just to make sure I didn't infest it. Then on day 2 maggots showed up along the fresh hold kf the door. Like there was rotten food dropped in it or maybe trash leaked. It was bad. Actually disgusting and when it was mentioned to the owners they just laughed it off. The wife of the owner gets very irate and hateful when you me tion anything negative about the place.
