Clayton Plaza Hotel

Perfect girls trip. Easy access to all the important, fun places. The room was clean and spacious. The digital shower system was a surprise and very inviting. Great breakfast especially the omelette/waffle station. Only took points off for no shampoo in the dispenser and no ice on our floor. Other than that it was a perfectly pleasant stay!!!!

Since the hotel is located in a safe area, we walked to dinner. There are various kinds of restaurants nearby. Our main purpose was to visit WashU, and the hotel had very convenient access to the school. It was also easy to get from the parking lot to the hotel. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had a panel for adjusting the temperature and good water pressure. Breakfast included fresh omelets and waffles, and the coffee was delicious. The food was replenished frequently. We chose this hotel based on reviews, and we truly felt it offered great value for the price.

Positive: Room, bathroom, breakfast were great. Negative: Staff gave no direction on how to go from the garage to the hotel, which are connected. How could I know I needed to walk up two flights and locate “the bridge” to get to the hotel? And no signs in the garage to indicate where to go. Got lost and upset.

I was disappointed when I walked into the lobby..it reminded me of an old folks home. There was a smell, not awful but maybe a cleaneing product .The lobby decor is tired looking. There are papers taped to the checkin desk. I think it was about parking. It was just tackie. I bet in its day it was a beautiful hotel. The bones are there but the astestic wasn't goid. The hallways smelled too, again not awful but also not pleasant.The room is very plain with odd decor choices. The pros, the price was very good. The room was very clean and the bathroom was nicely remodeled. The free breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. My opinion, if you are looking for a place to sleep at a reasonable price, this is it It your looking for the vacation expe

My husband and I stay at this hotel at least once a year when visiting family nearby in U. City. We love the morning breakfasts right downstairs, and the size and cleanliness of the rooms, which is always great. The people here are all kind and super helpful. Anything that needs help, service appears right away. Outside of the place always being in some minor construction, which has never been disruptive to our stay, this place is top notch for service, room and location! Strongly encourage couples or families to stay here.
