Campground with a couple large covered areas with grills and many picnic tables. Also a large grassy area for kids to play in. It is set in an idyllic wooded location next to Clay Creek. I would have given 5 stars if the camp sites were a little further apart.

The campground is closed But you can find dispersed spots near by.

Our experience wasn’t great. Though there were respectful campers in the campsite, I didn’t notice any host. That being said, there were a group of “people” who’s music and party lasted till 3am. Loud screaming. And it was incredible how they got away with it. The facilities were very dated and not well kept. But, they have potable water spickets and the things to complete a campground. The water nearby was warm and shallow which is safe for kids. So I would recommend if it’s a last resort kinda thing. 3 stars

Very quiet. Beautiful forested area. Swimming area available. Covered group picnic spaces available. Clean facilities and camp spaces. Restrooms and potable water available. Just 10 to 15 minutes from Mapleton for supplies or forgotten items.

Lots of mosquitos and little itty bitty beetles flying around, very irritating. My fault for not having enough bug repellant. Loud families yelling profanities at their obnoxious children and the bathrooms smelled horrible. Also lots of brown moss and old crunchy dried up foliage that gave it kind of an "abandoned" feel. Also the water was about a foot deep so no swimming to be had. There's also no camp host. The bonus with the loud families was not feeling guilty for playing my music, of course we turned it off at 10pm. Did find some free birch they had cut to clean up. Yay for free firewood! Also, the sites were pretty big and had lots of green coverage for privacy. And the tent pad was nice and flat. We were able to fit a 4-person tent on the tent pad and my dad's little 2-pers
