Great location. Tent sites right in the bank. The lake is clear in the morning and gets churned throughout the day. Thankful there’s a bath house but it’s 2 toilets and one shower. It could have been set up better but overall wasn’t nasty considering how busy it was. They try to make the best of what’s there for sure. The Lake is gorgeous and the setting is extremely peaceful. Playground is dated but the kids didn’t care they still enjoyed the additional perk! Bring floats and tubes!
Such a lovely picnic/campground. Well maintained. There's a nice beach with a white sand sunbathing area, and a child's play area. The picnic tables are in good shape and well shaded.
Pros: Nice location right next to the lake, clean restrooms Cons: Signs and directions can be improved. We had camp spot 9 reserved. Followed the first sign we saw that showed camp spot 9. It was within loop A. After we nearly had our stuff setup, staff tells us to move as the spot was for RVs. It turned out to not be our spot, as our camp spot 9 was in loop C. Checked my booking again, and it said nothing about which loop we were supposed to be in. Loop C, did conveniently have a sign that stated it was for tent camping, however it is at the end of the park. The RV section (loop A), lacked such a sign. Loop A is the first loop you'll pass coming into park, so its understandable that is where we went when we saw camp spot 9 number. It was pretty inconvenient to have to re pack all our thi
Pro: beautiful views on Lake Chatuge, decently clean bathrooms, there is a dump station & dumpster Con: no check in person, many permanent residents here despite it saying stays longer than 14 days are prohibited, our campsite did not have a grill or a fire pit (like half of them do have fire pits, but there are no grills I could see) We probably wouldn't stay here again.
Great area sitting right next to the beautiful Lake Chatuge. All campsites are laid out perfectly and as far as I could tell, all equipped with picnic table, fire ring, and power. Water is readily available throughout the park. Showers are also available in the comfort stations. Good, nicely paved walkways throughout with decent playground setups for the young ones. Highly recommended.
