Clarion Collection Carmel Oaks Inn

This place was in the perfect location. Walking distance to everything in downtown even the beach. The room was cute and very clean. The complex was small and quaint! I loved that it was a no smoking complex and breakfast was brought to our door. We will stay here again. The service was great .

Great price and location. You can walk anywhere in Carmel from this hotel. Breakfast is even included! It’s very basic no glitz and glam but if you just want somewhere inexpensive and very clean to lay your head down for 8 to 10 hours this is a great place to stay. We even had a small balcony with chairs and could hear the ocean from our room. If you want tons of amenities, fancy furniture, lots of staff and luxury etc. then you’ll need to pay 2-3x’s the price and go somewhere else

Easy to find. The renovations are lovely and the staff are friendly. I especially like the change to flooring from carpeting. It’s feels cleaner and more modern.

I would not recommend this hotel. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Our shower wasn’t working properly it was a trickle I asked them to look at it where I was told it should work. I tried letting it run but still it didn’t work properly. They refused to come and look at it which was frustrating. The rooms are small for a family of four. The breakfast was ok but all the milk we were given was gone off and curdled so couldn’t be used for cereal. This was one of the most expensive hotels on our road trip and definitely the worse!

Very nice hotel, resonably priced and within walking distance of multiple amenities including thr beach. Although, the beach hike is downhill about .6 miles (one way). Free parking but a little tight if you have a large vehicle.
