Great place to stay! We really enjoyed the property although we didn't spend much time there. It's really close to Chaco Canyon and has very reasonable rates. The hot shower was really appreciated. We were going to tent camp, but wound up getting a cabin instead. Cabin was quaint and had a sink with running water but no electricity. It did have a dual propane burner which we really appreciated. Not sure if Propane tanks were included or left behind by other campers. We left one behind as well. Steve, the owner, was a really nice guy. Really enjoyed visiting with him. We were very thankful that he shared his beautiful property with us. Gallo Campground was full and this was a great alternative, probably better than the campground at the park. Thanks for the friendship Steve! We'll definit
Id give 10 stars if I could. If youre going to Chaco Canyon, this is where you stay. period. Amazing and beautiful location. Plenty of space between camping spots for privacy. DARK SKIES! More stars than youve ever seen at one time. Peace and Quiet. clean and functional toilet facilities on site. I cannot say enough about the hosts either. I had to come back the following year and do it all again. Best glamping spot I have ever enjoyed by miles. Two little cabins available as well outfitted with wood burning stove, sink, camp stove, and bed. May want to bring firewood with. This aint Appalachia. Not a lot laying about. Ice as well. Remote location. Simply wonderful. Thanks Steve!!!!
Stayed at Chaco Outlier for the Oct 2023 eclipse. Was the perfect base camp for our adventures. Camped in the van at the Ruin Camp. Pulled right in and set up camp, morning view was fantastic, small fire ring in camp, and even a shower and toilet just up the path. About a 45 minute drive to Chaco ruins down the dirt road. Steve was great and met us when we pulled in. Would stay here again!
If you are headed to Chaco Canyon, this remote campsite is THE place to stay! The host is attentive, and answers calls when he can. Chaco Canyon is a shorter drive from this campsite. Ask for the campsite with this beautiful lookout over the desert landscape. And make sure to catch a sunrise or sunset. And you won’t regret it. Thank you Steve!
Beautiful scenery. Cold this time of year. Near Chaco Canyon NM.
