Chisholm Inn & Suites

Anyone who ranks this place higher than 1 star has extremely low expectations. This place is trash. The lady working the front desk was rude and seemed to be bothered that we were even there. We came in with 14 families for a hockey tournament. There was another team there with us so probably 25-30 families. As we arrived we found a sign on the front door saying no sticks allowed. I understand the rule. I actually kind of agree with it for mini sticks as I know a lot of parents don't watch their kids and things get broken. I don't mind that at all. What I do mind is being given a option of leaving $700 worth of sticks either in our truck or locking them in the managers office with everyone else's sticks. Last resort as everything near the Sax Zim.bog was booked. We were very unhappy with the room and we moved once. As you see from the pictures, not the safest place to stay as well. The taped up hair dryer was a nice plus.... NOT! The young man at the front desk was as helpful as he could be. But, will never go back.

This place used to be awesome. I stayed here many times in 2023 and 2024. The rooms were always very clean, everything smelled good. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and if anything was needed the family that I assumed stayed on the property were more than willing to help. These people were extremely kind, and always accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel like guests and above and beyond on multiple occasions. The pool has never been open that I have seen, however the atmosphere made up for that. They had a breakfast area that was always open where guests could help themselves to coffee (with nice cups 😁) and some snacks. Front desk called me to see about checking in at around 930(totally fine). I paid for 3 rooms and ended up not using them but they were paid in full. The lady on the phone was mad that we weren't going to check in for some reason and when I told her we weren't checking in and she could give our rooms away (which is above and beyond since I paid for them) she says "Well its a little late for that" and just hangs up. I called back to see why she was that way and she doubled down on her rudeness. Definitely lost my business for all future endeavors, but sounds like she wouldn't care anyways. Bad service!!

Rooms very old and run down, smell old and musty. Hotel air conditioning was freezing. Parking lot and sidewalk in disrepair, very dangerous, especially for elderly persons. Breakfast was good every morning.
