Chinook RV Park

Perfect home base location for my 18' travel trailer so I can do some gorgeous sightseeing! Kathy was super helpful and friendly getting me all set up.

At the end of our driveway (the entrance to the RV Park) is a magnificent view of the mouth of the Columbia River, Cape Disappointment Lighthouse. It sits on Baker Bay with Ilwaco,Washington. Here are some photos I took from my driveway:

We really appreciated the good rates! The manager is nice, great at answering questions. The park is well kept for the most part. It seems like all regular maintenance is done. But the actual cleaning, particularly the bathroom, was really disappointing. After a long weekend of camping, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned thoroughly once. Stock didn't run out, so someone must have been keeping an eye on soap/tissue. But there were messes there for the whole weekend that would have been cleaned if there was a regular janitor. Just be aware, cleaning is an issue.

Nice quiet park. Great managers. Most occupants are long term.

We stayed here a long time ago, early summer of 2005. It was one of the nicest RV parks we stayed in on our whole trip. The staff were so outgoing and friendly. At that time the park was gravel and grass, looks like from google maps a large portion of it is paved now. The bathrooms and common areas were spotlessly clean. Would love to stay there again someday and relive that trip.
