Love this place! It’s super close to the bridge and all of the great trails. The owner, Seth, is awesome. He gave us girls a spacious campsite and even saved the day when we needed propane for our camping grill and personally delivered some. It is my favorite spot near the gorge and won’t be my last time visiting. Thanks for the memories!

Nice campground. Sites are private and vary in size, we were able to have 2 tents on one lot. Our dogs were happy. Picnic tables and fire pits at every site. Firewood set out to buy every day was a nice touch! Would recommend staying here, we'll likely be back

Had a great stay here while climbing in the gorge nearby. Location was perfect to be close to everything. Camp host was amazing, going out of his way to welcome us and help us find everything we needed. Firewood was available for purchase which was great.

Campground itself is quite pleasant. But I can only give it three stars for the following reasons. 1. We've been to 100's of campgrounds, though not very many private ones (State, USFS, National Parks, etc.). But this is the first one that charges per PERSON and not per campsite. So I guess if you are 4 people in one tent, you'll pay $60 instead of the single person price of $15. 2. The only poop place can be quite a distance away if you end up taking the end of the upper loop. I can understand driving to take a shower, but there should be at least a porta potty at the other location. 3. A 2 minute sweep with a leaf blower (per campsite) would do wonders to mark the actual parking area associated with the campsite. We got there toward dusk and had a hard time figuring where we were su

Chestnut Creek Campground is a hidden gem near New River Gorge National Park. It is affordable, peaceful, and just minutes from the bridge. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest we’ve ever seen at a campground! The whole place is very well managed, and Seth, who runs it, is such a kind and helpful person. He really made us feel at home. Highly recommend this spot. we’ll definitely be coming back!
