Cool place to camp. Lots of cleared out camping spots alongside the road. Also the Prescott National Forest camp ground at Powell Springs is also right there with nice camp sites with grills, tables, fire pits and a public restroom that is pretty clean. No running water.
Beautiful scenery but the camping has been extremely limited by restrictions on where you can camp. Very few campsites for trailers and tent campers have to park in a designated parking lot surrounded by boulders.
Very quiet and relaxing place. There is some good backpack camping out there. Some great places for photos as well.
