Cherokee Village Resort

We accidentally bumped into this place last year when we stayed there to witness the Texas Solar eclipse and fell in love with this place. We returned this year for a mini vacation on the lake. This place is a hidden gem for anyone who likes to have an uncomplicated outdoor vocation, especially with younger age kids who are interested in paleontology and/or nature in general. There is about a 100% chance they will find fossils around the lake. The accommodations are not super sophisticated but it has all the amenities you could wish for. The manager Scott is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to accommodate a pleasant stay. No doubt to give them an absolute 5 star review!

So nice this weekend by the lake with the peaceful surroundings. The deer and other wildlife, fishing, full moon and the great people who run and own the place.

Me and my family enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Cottage it was wonderful, Scott is very attentive and friendly. Beautiful place, loved the flowers and my kids loved the Peacock. My daughter even left her Mickey Mouse she sleeps with every night and they called us letting us know they were going to send it out to us! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Definitely recommend staying here and we will be back.

We had our family reunion here over the Memorial weekend, we had a wonderful time. Scott was so accommodating, and so friendly. The cabins were nice and clean the grounds were clean at all times. They have a great place to swim or fish off the dock, we had such a nice time love the pavilion. We've booked for next memorial weekend.

Our family have been getting together yearly and as our family grew, it has been hard to find a place that accommodates everyone with also a reasonable price Well, we hit the "jack pot" with Cherokee Village Resort. We had the entire place, the commons area was perfect for our needs. Meals, hanging out and playing games . They have corn hole board, that was perfect. We had several "tournament's The grounds were perfect for the kids to roam and play. Pete, Jack and Snowflake, the peacocks were fun to watch. The caretakers, Scott and Patsy were AWSOME host. There were there several times a day to check on how we The rooms could use some updating BUT the kitchen is fully stocked and the beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean! We were only in our rooms to sleep, Everything in
