Cheaha Resort State Park

We rented a Chalet. I believe the Chalet is better than the cabins by far! They have a better view of the area, more room, and just overall bigger in size. One thing I will point out, when we got here to our Chalet, the whole Chalet smelled of bug spray. The floors, walls, kitchen, bedrooms were doused in bug spray. The trip itself is really great! The kids really enjoy it! But that is all that matters to me!

This was a pleasant two day stay so we could see the observation tower and walk some of the trails. We stayed in the lodge and although the room needs a little love, the room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot. Free coffee in the well stocked gift shop. I wish the restaurant had been open, but I understand the logistics of trying to get employees. Beautiful place to watch the sunset.

I'm sure the new hotel will be awesome when they complete it . This is by far the best time of year to ride across the mountain...we enjoy riding our Harleys across it often

We drove up for the day. Beautiful scenery. Campground looked nice.

Booked a Cabin there for our honeymoon, planned to stay 4 nights, and only stayed 8 hours! Checked in around 1am, and by 9:30am we were ready to check out. The musky smell in Cabin #5 was so bad that it affected my asthma, and made my husbands throat sore. You could sit on the front enclosed porch and smell the musk when the wind blew. They refunded the nights that we did not stay (which they should have), but refused to refund any of the one night, well 8 hours that we were there. It was a hugh inconvenience for us to pack up and try to locate somewhere else to stay. I was pretty upset and disappointed, not a way to start our honeymoon. The cabin was beautiful though, just couldn't breathe or get past the smell.
