Chassell Bay Cottages

Our stay at the cottage in Chassell Bay was absolutely wonderful. The cabin was so cute and cozy, and it immediately felt comfortable and welcoming. It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our time there. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we could have needed including glassware, appliances, and cookware. The coffee maker was especially clutch during the snowy winter mornings! The location was perfect! It’s only about five minutes from Michigan Tech/downtown Houghton and around 25 minutes from Calumet, so it was easy to explore the area while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful spot. Had a great stay in cottage #3. Place was very clean and had all the necessities for our time there. Dock was available so we could park our boat. AC was nice so we could all sleep. Very nice location. Autumn was a great host and check in for anything we needed. 5 stars!

What a perfect location right on the lakefront at Portage Lake and just 10 minutes away from Michigan Tech and downtown Houghton! Relaxing and remote, but still right there, you know. The cottage was clean and cozy, the beds were nice and comfortable, and we really enjoyed using the fire pit. We’ll be back again!

We had such a relaxing stay at Chassell Bay Cottages. The cabins were clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Beautiful views of the water and close to town, but still felt private and peaceful. Highly recommend!
