Charles Wesley Motor Lodge Broken Bow-Hochatown

As a professional musician playing country music for over 40 years, I've stayed in a lot of country hotels. Most of them were dreadful. Country living isn't always as clean and perfect as city living. If your family can't afford one of those pricey cabins up north at Hochatown, don't fret. Go see my friends at the Charles Wesley Motor Lodge. You'll get a fine country hotel with a rich history connected to the area. Fancy hotels aren't available in the Broken Bow area, but this clean, country hotel right in Broken Bow will have you by the lake in no time. Buy food in Broken Bow and drive up to Hochatown from there. It's only 9 miles! You can't beat this hotel for the price in the area. Remember Texas friends, you're in the country. First time coming with significant other and his family who have been coming for years. We were able to get adjacent rooms so we had eyes on the kids at all times. We’re able to do family movie nights while boys watched racing and sports in a separate room. Guest services were top notch as one of our littles had an accident in bed. The rooms were super clean and well laid out. The flowers outside are beautiful!! Upon arrival the manager was so edited to see the family. Everything was a Broken Bow feel and we had a wonderful stay!

When I arrived the night clerk couldn't find my Agoda reservation. I'm not sure if he was having a bad night or if it was just his normal low level of hospitality/helpfulness but we soldiered on. Eventually he announced "Ok, I need a $100 security deposit for the room". No problem, I gave him my credit card. He said "No, has to be $100 cash". With vague answers about whether I'd get a receipt I asked him to please show me on the hotel's website where it said to bring $100 cash. He said "It's on there, I don't have to show you". It's NOT on the hotel website, Agoda's website, or Agoda's email. I didn't have $100 cash and he wouldn't give me my room. We have stayed at the Charles Wesley since our kids were teenagers and now we are coming here with our grandkids. We have lots of great memories here. They have adjoining rooms where you can connect three rooms, so your kids can stay locked inside and connected to you. The landscaping is outstanding and the lighting along with the flowers would be perfect for a photograph shoot. We have loved the hospitality each visit. Each time we come updates have been made. A plus is you are sitting right behind Papa Pablanos that serves a great breakfast and dinner.

The room was clean and quiet. It’s a few blocks from the downtown area. Receptionist was friendly with great suggestions for activities in the area.
