I just want to say that I had a really good experience here with the clerk. I showed up at 10 o’clock on Labor Day weekend and they got us in without being priced gouged like the rest of the county. I can’t help but say that I also had a very good experience with the clerk at the desk. He was a man who just happened to be working there on Sunday night. He was very kind and showed extreme courtesy when others might not have The rooms are quaint to say the least. Sure it’s an old place but I will make this a stop from now on.

My family stayed here Saturday, Aug. 1st, and we were very unhappy. I booked 2 rooms in advance for a set rate. When we arrived at 8:30PM last weekend, my husband & I waited in the lobby for a good 20 minutes before someone came to help us. We were charged a higher rate for the rooms and were told that our rooms would not be clean for another hour! When we question the cost of the rooms the attendant because very ugly, told us we could f***ing leave if we wanted to, and reimbursed us (which for the record was still $10 short but I didn't dare mention that). So we cleaned our own rooms, went without clean towels/bedding, and left comment cards in hopes that this issue will be addresses. We won't be staying here again which is a shame because we come to the U.P. very often.

Very nice manager. The rooms are clean and everything works. We were just passing through so I don't know anything about attractions in the area, but the place it's self was fine. Not all rooms have ac, but that wasn't an issue for us as it was nice out.

We are looking for an all year round place to live. We drove up for the night to check it out. The rooms are spacious, clean , But Duston has a serious attitude problem. He walks up on you like you’re a threat. We were told 5 times he would call the owner to see if they were open all year round it’s 4 days later no answer. I keep calling then Dusty cops n attitude. We’re supposed to rent from them til October then be kicked out in the snow no where to go. They DONT CARE about you but the money they can steal from you. DONT STAY HERE JUST KEEP DRIVING

Price was reasonable.Beds were clean and comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay here again. All I needed was a place to get some sleep. Wasn't there on vacation, so not sure what there was to do in area if you are looking for something to so.
