Customer Reviews
The lodge is close to a river, where they have lounge chairs for you to enjoy the view. Rooms do not have a mini fridge. If you are a light sleeper, ear plugs are highly recommended. The walls are far from soundproof, especially if you are in one of the rooms near the entrances. Beds were great. I slept better than expected. Pillows were not too flat.
We hoped for a grill area to cook some of our own meals. Due to the fires in the area it is understandable this was not available. Beautiful Location! Clean, adequate room. A mini fridge would be helpful. No TV, no cell service, limited wifi for guests only. I loved the break from all the noise of the world! The kings river flows next to a sitting area with patio lounge chairs. The perfect place to wind down after a long day of hiking.
Loved every aspect of this place. Very rustic and barebones, but just what you need to get away from it all. Essentially right on the river—with a great deck to listen from—the Lodge was perfect. Notably, the staff were fantastic: down-to-earth, friendly, helpful, and kind. Noah, in particular, was an exceptional ambassador. His professionalism and customer-service orientation had us planning our return trip before we even left!
After a long day of hiking the only thing I was looking forward to was a shower. I went to the store for shower tokens and asked about them and the young girl dismissively said they were all out for the day and to try again tomorrow. No care at all for the inconvenience, somehow blamed someone taking them over Labor Day. This is a solvable issue, if the property doesn’t have enough tokens to last the day they should be collecting them mid-day for more guests. I get that stuff happens, but the rudeness was the topper.
Better to stay somewhere else. Gave me the key to wrong room. Kitchen staff blasted music for hours. Food is terrible, not quiet. We regretted leaving our quiet, comfortable airbnb. Worst ever.
