Cattle Baron Inn

Completely satisfied with the Inn. Shirley was more than gracious and accommodating. We felt like a long-lost relative. Our ONLY problem was that the rooms are on the second floor and my wife does not deal with stairs well.

We stayed a week with this amazing family, whilst we visited family close by, who open up their beautiful home and make you feel part of their lives. In a very short space of time you feel completely at ease and feel happy to just come and go without any pressure. My wife is coeliac, completely gluten free, and Shirley (hostess), went more than the extra mile to find food that was tasty and suitable for her diet. Our room was very comfortable with our own private bathroom. ||Bob & Shirley are widely travelled and lead busy, fascinating lives which they welcome you into and make you feel part of. ||We exchanged cultural tips and had fun teaching them how to make a cup of tea suitable for an English palate. ||We arrived as paying guests and left as friends. ||We're very widely travelled and

We had the most wonderful stay! Shirley and Bob were wonderful hosts. Our beds were so comfortable the the food was delicious and we felt like we made new friends. The bathtub in our private bathroom was longer then most tubs and easily fit my 6’3” husbands long legs. We loved their big porch and enjoyed swinging on the hanging swing at night. We would highly recommend staying there if you happen to be in the area. We will definitely go back.

I stayed for about a month working near Fall River, KS. The family was very kind and accommodating with meals and requests for my extended stay. The house itself was beautiful and very well kept. My stay included a room with two beds and an armchair. The one bed I slept in was very comfortable and had a nice electric blanket. The room also had a stand alone heater so I could adjust the temperature to my liking. Also included was a private bath with a large tub and stand up shower. I really enjoyed spending my evenings with the Black's talking and hearing stories of their very interesting lives. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone.

We were in Howard for a wedding and really enjoyed our visit. The hosts, Shirley and Bob, were very easy to visit with and very accomodating. We learned about some lf the history of the town and their home. Breakfast was delish! Would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
